STEPHEN CARLISLE

Steve has worked with Capital Cranfield Trustees since 2006. He represents Capital Cranfield as chairman of trustees, as a trustee board member and as sole corporate trustee to schemes ranging in asset size from £250m to £4m.

Before working with Capital Cranfield Steve was at Aon Consulting (now Aon Hewitt) for over 30 years where he held a variety of board level senior positions including Head of Administration, Head of London Region and Managing Director, Operations. He first became a Trustee in 1996, as Chairman of Trustees of the Aon UK Pension Scheme and an Industry Wide pension scheme, and now fulfils the independent trustee role for a number of pension schemes in a variety of business sectors.

Steve has strong communication skills with an ability to operate at all levels and, with his background in Mathematics, is able to assimilate and act on high levels of information. Using his past experience as a consultant advising both trustees and employers, he is able to bring a wide knowledge of previous situations to find pragmatic solutions for many of the issues now facing trustee boards.
