JAMES COLEY

James has worked with Capital Cranfield Trustees since 2011. He chairs and is co-trustee of a number of UK schemes and a co-trustee of a Geneva based Swiss scheme.

He has knowledge of DB, DC and hybrid arrangements built up over more than 16 years acting as a trustee of schemes with values between £25m and £100m. His trustee involvement has encompassed scheme administration issues, funding negotiations, corporate re-structures, advisor appointments and investment strategy reviews.

He is a qualified solicitor who, following a period with a major law firm, acted as company secretary of three UK listed companies and latterly headed European legal operations for a Fortune 100 Company based in the US.

James maintains an open collaborative style encouraging the active participation of fellow trustees and common ownership of goals.
