Simon Baynes

Simon joined Capital Cranfield in 2009.

After graduating with first class honours, Simon enjoyed 30 successful years in senior IT appointments.

Simon has extensive pensions’ consultancy experience being involved with schemes in 14 countries. He holds notable DB and DC trustee appointments including the chairmanship of one of the oldest and largest DC schemes in the UK. He chairs the investment committees of several schemes.

His record for rigour and pragmatic good governance led to his appointment to the Investment Management Association’s Investment Governance Group for DC.

Simon serves on the General Synod and has national experience of the Church of England’s investments. He has also served on the Crown Nominations Commission.
