Philip Whittome

Philip joined Capital Cranfield in 2010.

Having gained a Double First in Japanese at Cambridge University, Philip worked in the investment industry for 24 years, latterly as a Director of the institutional business and senior fund manager of a major international investment management firm. Philip holds the ASIP, a full postgraduate professional investment qualification equivalent to the CFA.

Philip has several years’ trustee experience, including hands-on work on investment policy and implementation, scheme funding and sponsor negotiations and corporate governance issues. His open and collegiate style and his readiness to put forward independent solutions tailored to the real needs of each scheme make him ideally suited to be an effective independent trustee.
